IKEA Metod Kitchens

Updated: Jan 15, 2020

IKEA, the home of Swedish flat pack furniture. Whether it's a sofa, bed, wardrobe or chest of drawers you need, they will have something for you. They have furniture for the living room, bedroom, dining room and even the bathroom. But did you know they also have furniture for your kitchen? I don't just mean plates and cutlery found in the market hall. I mean complete kitchens. Kitchen units, sinks, worktops, extractor hoods.

I bet you're thinking “Great, but I bet everything comes flat packed”. You'd be right, The kitchen units such as the Metod range, will come flat packed. However, if you are having a new kitchen fitted, the chances are you are not going to do it yourself. You'll get a kitchen fitter, builder or carpenter in to do the work for you. The trouble with this is that many builders and carpenters don't like to assemble IKEA furniture either.

Now you're thinking “We're back to square one and I'll have to assemble the kitchen units myself”. This is where we come in. We will happily assemble your new IKEA kitchen units ready for installation by your builder.

We can pre build the cabinets, fit the legs, fit the hinges and handles to the doors and fit the doors to the base units or simply prep the doors ready to be fitted to the wall units. We will assemble all drawers and fit the runners to the cabinets. We will even keep all the spare parts that your builder will need with each unit. This way nothing will get mixed up. All you or your builder needs to do is fit the cabinets in place once the rest of the kitchen is ready.

The Metod range from IKEA is a great choice for any kitchen. The units are cheap to buy, in stock for almost immediate delivery, come in a variety of sizes. They have a sturdy 18mm thick frame which is moisture and scratch resistant and have a 25 year guarantee! The Meted cabinets are compatible with the many different styles of door which IKEA have to offer along with handles and worktops so you can have the kitchen you want without spending an absolute fortune.
